From September 2021 the new Relationship and Sex Education Curriculum became Statutory and Schools must now teach this curriculum.

As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content.

The initial consultation in June 2021 with school community helped us to ensure that RSE is taught in school in accordance with our strong Islamic Values and Ethos. 

We have since reviewed and updated our policy and consulted with parents.
