Year 10 – Saman Irshad and Fatima Hameeda Hussain

Year 9 – Fatima Saleem and Hafsa Ali

Year 8 – Isma Sowunmi and Syeda Fadilah Laaibah

Year 7 – Umme Aiman Ali and Iman Hayat

HOW ARE STUDENT COUNCIL CHOSEN?

Student Council members are chosen by volunteering themselves for the position and or through an election. Prospective candidates are required to outline how they are suitable for the position during a presentation to their form class. The class will then vote for the candidate they believe will be the best representative and voice of their class.

Student Council members are generally chosen in the first term for the new academic year.

WHAT DO STUDENT COUNCIL DO?

Student Council will be confident, approachable and respected individuals, who are willing to represent their class and are capable of voicing the opinions, concerns and ideas on behalf of their class.

Expectations of Student council members:

  • Student Council are to set an example at ALL times 
  • They are ROLE MODELS to the rest of the school 
  • Therefore, they must uphold the HIGHEST standards at all times. 

Student Council duties will include:

  • To represent their class during the School year
  • To voice the opinions, ideas and concerns of their class during meetings
  • To attend regular council meetings and take notes and relay feedback from meetings to their class during form times.
  • To always work in the interest of the school  
  • To help organise school events  
  • To attend school events when required 
  • To liaise and collaborate with each other as a team, to ensure efficiency and smooth running of their own area of responsibility and of the school as a whole. 
  • To support departmental clubs and activities.

Meetings will be held at least twice a month with the Headteacher, Dr Zakia.
