The Principal, teachers and current students of Bolton Islamic Girls School would like to welcome you to an opportunity in joining the new single sex secondary girls’ school in Bolton, which aims to elevate the intellectual, spiritual and moral development of the child in a secure environment.

In addition, we hope that after reading the Bolton Islamic Girls School prospectus you will join us in the new academic year and experience the uniqueness that this school provides, both in terms of fulfilling the requirements of the National Curriculum as well as the opportunity to study in an Islamic environment. The School invites applicants from both Muslim and Non-Muslim parents that wish to benefit from a single sex education environment. A Muslim female holds a significant role and status in a Muslim family and has done so since the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Established in 2012, Bolton Islamic Girls School, an independent school, aims to provide high quality education for girls from the age of 11 upwards. We are proud to continue a long tradition of excellence in education, which integrates Islamic and contemporary modes of learning, as well as caring for the welfare of our students.

We expect from our students the highest standards of work, behaviour, morals, commitment, and participation. We believe strongly that these are important to you too, and you rightly expect us to uphold them.

The school is equipped with appropriate teaching aids such as whiteboards in classrooms and above average computer to student ratios.

Our expert teaching faculty meets and goes above and beyond the national curriculum, offering a broad range of subjects which encourage independent learning and provide a wealth of exciting opportunities for girls to experience outside school. We aim to work together to develop our students' self-esteem, creativity and communication skills within an Islamic ethos.

Working in partnership with parents, the community, the governing body and all the staff at Bolton Islamic Girls School aim to provide a fitting framework within which every student has the opportunity to excel both personally and in their communal life.

Bolton Islamic Girls School is an Independent Secondary Girls' School based in a single building located in Bolton, and accommodates Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 students (11-16 year old students).

Bolton Islamic Girls School, mindful of its accountability to Allah (swt), will sincerely work in collaboration with all its stakeholders to create a high quality teaching and learning network for the benefit of the community. Using the very latest technology, it will provide personalised learning opportunities for all learners to achieve the best possible education and attainment. As a centre of educational excellence, the institution will encourage all participants to become life-long learners so that they can achieve their full potential. Our core values will help learners to become confident in their identity as Muslims living in Britain with an enduring desire to perform their religious duties, live in harmony with fellow citizens and contribute positively to the social, political and economic wellbeing of their nation.

We are fully aware that tradition alone is not enough. As a Muslim faith based school we are rightly proud of our heritage but we must always keep pace with the modern, changing world thus making the Islamic faith relevant and compatible to contemporary society.

We want our students to learn how to discover and be aware what’s going on in the world, how to have a say and how to make a difference. To provide students with real opportunities to experience this, we are working to help the school council become more effective. We’ve also trained students to research aspects of school life and inform the school management of their findings and concerns.

We expect all our students to show respect for the environment and for other people. We expect them to develop courtesy as well as demonstrate their ability to care for others and to undertake every opportunity to participate in making the world a better place.
